New Atlas importer for USA

September 29, 2016 | Comments (0)

German loader crane manufacturer Atlas has appointed Irving Equipment as its exclusive crane importer and master distributor for the USA.

The cranes will continue to be sold through local authorised Atlas dealerships and representatives, which will source product and ongoing support from Irving’s new facility in Tiffin, Ohio which has enough space under cover to work on even the largest Atlas cranes -folded or unfolded. It also includes a fully equipped machining centre and fabrication shop, along with a parts warehouse, which will hold an extensive inventory of Atlas spare parts. The new offices include an engineering centre and state-of-the-art operator and mechanic training areas.

In addition to holding stock and looking after logistics, Irving will offer sales, installation, and full crane service, along with boom inspection, repair and certification. It will also be able to supply customers with installed, work ready trucks and cranes at short notice. The two companies will have a joint stand at Conexpo next year.

Atlas owner Fil Filipov said: “Atlas is the traditionally innovative manufacturer of machinery and equipment with almost 100 years of experience in this business. The Irving family has over 145 years of combined experience selling and servicing hydraulic equipment with an extensive focus on articulating cranes and their various applications. Therefore, I am sure that we have found the ideal partner for growing our crane business in the United States even further.”

Atlas managing director Brahim Stitou added: “Irving and Atlas have the same priorities, the customer always comes first and we are committed to providing customers with the highest quality products and services. Quality standards and customer satisfaction are measured in terms of service performance and reliability. Therefore, I am convinced that our partnership will turn out to be mutually profitable for both our companies.”
